It may be useful to consider a space to share employment opportunities (e.g. phd/postdoc, part-time, full-time roles, etc.) in relevant fields. Combined knowledge from the community’s network may be beneficial for existing members to find interesting work, roles, and other opportunities. The algo audit slack channel has a similar channel, which has helped many (myself included) learn about newly-posted positions.

Great idea, Briana! I am currently on the search for employment opportunities and would appreciate such space. Perhaps some tips & tricks on finding such opportunities would be beneficial as well.

I love this idea. I’d like somewhere to share grants. I often come across grants that are semi-public, or not closed-but-not-exactly-public, that I am asked to share with my network. This might be a space for drawing attention to resources from the philanthropic community that could sustain certain research projects.

Hey all - I created an Opportunities category where you can post resources to share within the Coalition network.
Thanks so much! I have tried to post in the Opportunities category today, however there seems to be a restriction on starting a new thread in this particular category. I have permission to start threads in other categories, it is only in this one where I cannot. Could you please investigate - I might be doing something wrong!

You should be able to post now - Discourse is fun and flexible in that you have to set the permissions for every single category individually. Let me know if it isn’t!
